The Pittsburgh Steelers should sign Dez Bryant

Picture Bryant in the black and yellow. Partnered with Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers could serve as AFC North threats to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers were overachievers in 2019 finishing second in the AFC North at 8-8 and one win away from clinching a Wild Card berth. Head coach Mike Tomlin faced his most challenging season in recent years. He was without his “Killer B’s” as Roethlisberger was out for the season due to an elbow injury, Le’Veon Bell left the Steelers to sign with the New York Jets and Brown was traded to the Raiders.

With musical chairs at the quarterback positioning during Roethlisberger’s absence, the Steelers still found themselves barely missing the playoffs.

In 2020, they can return to the Steelers of old. Roethlisberger will return. If they sign Bryant, he could play opposite to JuJu Smith-Schuster. If that happens, the Steelers could emerge as a dangerous offense in 2020.

The Steelers defense appears to be set after acquiring Minkah Fitzpatrick via trade during the 2019 regular season. If the Steelers return to being an elite offense, the Steelers will be contenders once again.

Bryant would give them that edge. The Steelers offering Bryant a one-year deal to prove it, is a low risk and high reward move for Pittsburgh.
