Auburn football schedule 2020: Predicting every game on the Tigers’ schedule
Auburn football schedule has a brutal finish in November.
Nov. 7 – vs. Arkansas
The easiest way to talk about the Razorbacks is to say plainly that they will be lucky to win a game in the SEC this season. Sam Pittman has been tasked with rebuilding the Arkansas program and, while he may have the chops to do that over the next few years, they’re far from a game that’s being circled as trouble on the Auburn football schedule. Prediction: Win
Nov. 14 – vs. UMass
Speaking of teams that won’t be much trouble, the UMass Minutemen certainly fall into that category. This team had a case last season as the worst team in college football — seriously, in all of it. While they may improve a bit from that, there is still quite a bit of distance between not being the worst team in the country and challenging Auburn, which is good news for the Tigers given how their schedule finishes up. Prediction: Win
Nov. 21 – vs. LSU
Despite LSU steamrolling everyone last season, they were perhaps challenged the most by Auburn a year ago. Of course, these are two completely different teams than what took the field in 2020. What made both teams so great a season ago is now a question mark for this season. Both of these Tigers are talented but both are also flawed. With that, I’m taking the home team for that reason alone. Prediction: Win
Nov. 28 – at Alabama
With no Tua Tagovailoa last season, Bo Nix and Auburn got the best of Alabama in a shootout in the Iron Bowl. Now the Crimson Tide not only have rivalry revenge on their minds but they will hopefully have stability this season at quarterback along with more weapons and a better defense than the Tigers. Not only will Bama win the Iron Bowl in 2020, but I also don’t think it’ll be close. Prediction: Loss
Auburn football predicted final record: 9-3
Depending on the result of their bowl game, Auburn football might end up at 9-4 or 10-3, meaning they will essentially finish as they did a season ago. That could be considered a failure on the part of Malzahn and his team but, in truth, it might be the reality of having so much hinging upon Nix in his second collegiate season.
