Former Georgia football player thinks Jacob Eason is better than Jake Fromm.

Few Bulldogs fans out there have forgotten about the quarterback controversy involving Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm in 2017. Eason, now with the Colts, was once a five-star standout and had the keys to the Bulldogs’ offense.

Unfortunately for him, an injury during his sophomore season sidelined him for the rest of the year and opened the door for Fromm, a true freshman, to take over. Fromm stunned everyone by playing exceptionally well and never lost his starting job. Eason, as we all know, left the program and joined his hometown Washington Huskies.

While everything had a happy ending, with both Fromm and Eason now in the NFL, one former Georgia linebacker isn’t done talking about how things went down. Indeed, old Bulldogs linebacker Davin Bellamy, now with the Houston Texans, said he believes Eason has always been the better quarterback.

Jake Fromm gets dragged for not being as good as Jacob Eason.

Fromm has been under fire of late after disturbing text messages revealed him saying that guns should only be purchased by elite white people. All over social media, fans have been calling for the Bills to release him.

Bellamy, in his third year in the NFL, said Fromm’s comments have nothing to do with his thoughts on who is the better player. He’s felt Eason was the better option from the start.

Both players are about to begin their rookie campaigns in Indianapolis and Buffalo, respectively.

For Eason, he’ll learn behind Philip Rivers, while Fromm will push to be the backup behind Josh Allen. The two former NCAA standouts will look to prove their doubters wrong, but for Fromm, he may now be looking to make Bellamy eat his words.
