Predicting every game on the 2020 Georgia football schedule.

After securing a Sugar Bowl win over Baylor, Georgia football secured a 12-2 season last year, the third straight time the Bulldogs have notched 11 wins under head coach Kirby Smart. There is once again no question that UGA will be a formidable force in the 2020 season but the question, as it has been, is if they can win the big one — or big ones.

The 2020 Georgia football schedule features plenty of those aforementioned “big ones”. They must make a big trip to Alabama in September while hosting Auburn and upstart Tennessee in addition to their annual meeting with the Gators in Jacksonville. Suffice it to say that, if the Bulldogs survive, they’ll have earned it.

With the departure of Jake Fromm, the attention now turns to who will replace the long-time starter at quarterback in Athens. Graduate transfer Jamie Newman is expected to take over an offense that will likely have a much different look. New offensive coordinator Todd Monken is expected to adapt to his dual-threat signal-caller and the offense as a whole will follow suit. That may be necessary given the talent overhaul.

Though there may be some uncertainty on offense, the same can’t be said of the Georgia defense. Between Monty Rice, Nolan Smith, Richard LeCounte III, Eric Stokes and several others, the Bulldogs might have one of the best defenses in the entire country. This unit should dominate games early in the season as the offense, hopefully, comes into its own as the year progresses.

Anything less than double-digit wins would be a disappointment for the Bulldogs this season. So let’s go through the 2020 Georgia football schedule game-by-game making predictions for each outcome to determine how Smart’s club will finish the year.
