Houston Texans: Deshaun Watson (2017-Present)

The league’s youngest team doesn’t have a lot of history to draw from but Deshaun Watson is already better than any player the Texans have had at quarterback.

Watson has looked the part of a franchise quarterback in his first three years, leading Houston to the playoffs in each of the last two years. Bill O’Brien has done a terrible job constructing the roster around Watson, however, which could lead to some issues for the franchise in the near future.

Indianapolis Colts: Johnny Unitas (1956-1972)

Modern Colts’ fans will argue for Peyton Manning, but no. 18 himself would agree with going Johnny Unitas here. Most experts will argue that Unitas was one of the greatest passers who ever lived and he helped to revolutionize the forward pass in the 1950s and ’60s.

The accolades speak for themselves with Unitas, who laid the foundation for the modern NFL offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Mark Brunell (1995-2003)

The Jacksonville Jaguars are also a very young franchise, but unlike Houston their best quarterback was their first. After serving as Brett Favre’s backup in Green Bay, Mark Brunell came to Jacksonville and helped the expansion Jaguars get to the AFC Championship Game in just their second season.

Brunell formed a brilliant connection with Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith to make the Jaguars a legitimate AFC powerhouse in the late 1990s.
