Texas A&M should roll through the September schedule

Since A&M joined the SEC, the first few months of the Aggies’ schedule have traditionally been pretty easy to get through. The Texas A&M football team has proven time and time again that it can win early and 2020 shouldn’t be any different.

Sept. 5 – vs. Abilene Christian Wildcats

The Texas A&M Aggies shouldn’t have any issue at all with their season opener. Abilene Christian, an FCS program from a small school, lacks any sort of talent that will be comparable to A&M’s. The Aggies should clear their first hurdle with ease. Prediction: Texas A&M wins 55-10.

Sept 12 – vs. North Texas Mean Green

Despite the fact that North Texas had a rough 2019 season, head coach Seth Littrell has the North Texas Mean Green trending in the right direction. That won’t matter too much in this contest as the Aggies should steamroll through this game as well, winning in clear, decisive fashion against an outmatched opponent. Prediction: Texas A&M wins 49-17.

Sept. 19 – vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Aggies are facing off with an out-of-conference opponent from the Pac-12 early on in the season. On the surface, that should mean something. But A&M will face the Colorado Buffaloes, a team that struggled its way to a 5-7 season in 2019. Prediction: Texas A&M wins 45-13.

Sept. 26 – vs. Arkansas Razorbacks (in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas)

The Aggies will play their first game away from home when they head up to Arlington, Texas to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas has a new head coach and is hoping to get things figured out, but the Razorbacks won’t be good enough to contend with A&M. Prediction: Texas A&M wins 49-10.
