NBA Playoffs 2020: 5 reasons the Philadelphia 76ers can win it all
4. The 76ers have enough wings to win
Talented wings are a scarce commodity throughout the modern NBA. The 76ers are fortunate enough to have quality wings both in their starting lineup and on their bench. That could pay big dividends in the postseason.
Josh Richardson may lack the size and length to match up with the biggest wings in the league, but he can cycle down and guard point guards if required. Offensively, he checks all the boxes for skills required of an above-average wing.
Tobias Harris may start at the 4 for Philadelphia, but he’s got the size and quickness required to check some of those bigger wings. His ability to make perimeter shots could turn into the biggest key for the 76ers’ offense in the postseason.
Guys like Furkan Korkmaz and Alec Burks give the 76ers quality bench options to deploy against the opposition. Neither guy is going to soak up starter-level minutes, but each is capable of giving the team 15-20 good minutes on a nightly basis.
Add it all up and the Sixers have enough quality and quantity on the wing to be successful. They may not have a star small forward, but they can get by without that advantage.
