Each NFL team’s worst draft pick of the last decade
Pittsburgh Steelers: DE Jarvis Jones (2013 1st Round, No. 17)
Picked to bolster the Steelers’ pass rush, Jarvis Jones simply didn’t do a ton in the NFL. Jones recorded just six sacks in four NFL seasons and failed to crack the starting lineup on a consistent basis outside of his third year in the league. Pittsburgh opted not to re-sign Jones after the 2016 season and he hasn’t played a down in the NFL since.
San Francisco 49ers: WR A.J. Jenkins (2012 1st Round, No. 30)
The 2012 draft wasn’t great for wide receivers as A.J. Jenkins is the second bust to make this list. The San Francisco 49ers got nothing out of him in his rookie year before trading him to Kansas City for fellow first-rounder Jon Baldwin. A new home did little for Jenkins, who washed out of the league by 2015.
Seattle Seahawks: DT Malik McDowell (2017 2nd Round, No. 35)
The Seahawks haven’t had a ton of first-round picks due to their penchant for trading back in the draft so their biggest bust is 2017 second rounder Malik McDowell. Things got off to a bad start for McDowell when he was injured in an ATV accident prior to the start of training camp. McDowell also got into trouble off the field, being arrested multiple times and is currently serving an 11-month prison sentence for a series of crimes he committed in Michigan.
