1. Josh Allen will continue to progress

Allen is a 24-year-old quarterback who has only played two full seasons of NFL football. In other words, it’s still reasonable to expect that he has a lot of growth ahead of him.

The Bills don’t need him to suddenly become the finished product in 2020. They just need him to continue to build on the things that he’s already shown as an NFL starter. His ability to make plays with his legs is a weapon Buffalo’s offense can count on. His coaching staff also understands his elite arm strength gives them the ability to create huge plays down the field.

The key for Allen this season will be to improve his ability to make routine plays. His completion percentage must continue to rise. His mark of 58.8 percent from 2019 was an improvement over his rookie campaign, but it can’t be the spot where his accuracy progression ends.

Allen’s talent is not a question mark. The valid concern is over whether or not he can refine his technique to a point where his passing accuracy won’t be an issue. He has a long way to go in that department, but he’s still a very young quarterback.

Look for Allen to make enough strides to power his team to double-digit wins in the regular season. That should be enough to put the Bills atop the AFC East standings when all is said and done.
