Are there 10 wins on the Miami football schedule for Manny Diaz?
Will this be the year Miami football gets back to being The U again?
Itās been a while since we could count on the Miami Hurricanes to be one of the better college football teams consistently. We thought Miami was back for good this time in 2017, but that proved to be Mark Richtās last stand as a good college football coach. His last year in Coral Gables was bad and Manny Diazās first season taking over last year wasnāt all that great either.
But year two is when it pops if you have the right coach. I mean, it did in year two under Richt, right? As for Diaz, he has a preseason All-American defensive lineman in Gregory Rousseau who has the chance to be this yearās version of Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young. Diaz also netted a strong graduate transfer quarterback in DāEriq King from Houston.
Miami will contend with the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Virginia Tech Hokies for the ACC Coastal crown, while Bronco Mendenhallās Virginia Cavaliers lost too much talent off last yearās team to repeat in the division. Though the ACC Coastal champion will be cannon fodder for the Clemson Tigers to have their way with, maybe Miami is good enough to get back to Charlotte?
So what weāre going to do today is look at all 12 of Miami footballās regular-season games. How navigable of a season slate is it? Where are all the wins coming from? Who should the Canes be on the lookout for being upset? Are there any games on the schedule that are certain losses? Letās find all that out now and then some.
