4. Bryn Forbes, G, 2014-2016

He only spent two years in East Lansing, but Bryn Forbes made quite an impact on the Michigan State basketball team. After playing his first two years at Cleveland State, Forbes transferred to play his final two seasons with the Spartans.

Forbes added a much needed outside shooting threat to a Michigan State team that had plenty of inside presence at the time. Teaming with Denzel Valentine on the outside allowed Forbes plenty of space to knock down open shots, which he did with regularity.

As a junior, Forbes averaged just 8.5 points per game but knocked down 42.7 percent of his three-point attempts. Things improved for Forbes during his senior season, where he averaged 14.5 points per game and knocked down an absurd 48.1 percent of his triples.

That performance helped Forbes earn Second-Team All-Big Ten honors as a senior. An upset ended Michigan State’s run that year but Forbes did help the Spartans get to the Final Four as a junior.

Forbes has quietly found his way onto the NBA radar as a starter for the San Antonio Spurs, proving to be a reliable three-point marksman from the two-guard spot. It will be interesting to see if Forbes can keep improving at the NBA level with more experience.
