Pittsburgh Steelers: DE L.C. Greenwood

Defensive tackles Joe Greene and Ernie Holmes and ends Dwight White and L.C. Greenwood formed one of the greatest defensive fronts in NFL annals. The latter was a rangy pass rusher who also excelled against the run and surely batted down his share of passes during his 13-year career. And he was part of four Super Bowl title teams.

San Francisco 49ers: RB Roger Craig

He was the first player in NFL history to gain both 1,000-plus yards rushing and receiving in the same season (1985) – a feat since equaled by Rams’ runner Marshall Faulk in 1999 and Carolina’s Christian McCaffrey this past year. In 11 seasons, the first eight with the 49ers, Roger Craig rolled up 13,100 yards from scrimmage and 73 scores.

Seattle Seahawks: DE Jacob Green

The early days of the Seahawks featured a team that made its share of playoff appearances in the 1980s. One the team’s best offensive players during that span was end Jacob Green, who very quietly went about his business. In 12 seasons in Seattle, the two-time Pro Bowler rolled up 97.5 sacks, 17 fumble recoveries and three interceptions.
