UEFA has announced the schedule for how the 2020 men’s Champions League, women’s Champions League and Europa League will be completed in August.

As nearly every domestic soccer league in Europe is back in play, wrapping up the 2020 season, UEFA has officially announced how continental competition will be concluded.

“I am delighted that we are able to resume almost all of our competitions,” UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said in a statement. “I am confident that we will not have to endure the fans’ absence for long and that they will be allowed into stadiums sooner rather than later.”

2020 Champions League completion schedule

The men’s UEFA Champions League, which paused with some of the Round of 16 completed, will pick back up in early August and then finish with a mini-tournament held completely in Lisbon, Portugal.

The second legs of the Round of 16 ties that need to be completed – Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea, Barcelona vs. Napoli, Manchester City vs. Real Madrid, Juventus vs. Lyon – will be completed on Aug. 7-8. Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have already qualified for the quarterfinals.

Then, the Champions League will shift to Portugal and all remaining round will be played as one-off matches rather than over two legs. The quarterfinals will be played Aug. 12-15, the semifinals on Aug. 18-19 and then the Champions League final will be Aug. 23.

2020 UWCL completion schedule

The UEFA Women’s Champions League, with eight teams remaining, will conclude with a one-off knockout tournament in the Basque Country of Spain.

The quarterfinals will be played on Aug. 21-22, the semifinals Aug. 25-26, and then the final will take place on Aug. 30.

2020 Europa League completion schedule

The Europa League will conclude on a schedule similar to the men’s Champions League.

Round of 16 fixtures that need to be completed will take place Aug. 5-6 at venues TBD. Then the competition will shift to Germany for a single-leg knockout tournament with quarterfinals on Aug. 10-11, semifinals Aug. 16-17 and the Europa League final on Aug. 21.
