Arch Manning’s recruitment will be the biggest thing to ever happen to us.

There’s a new Manning in town.

Or there will be. Cooper Manning’s son Arch Manning is the first of the next generation of football’s first family. Manning’s grandfather, the patriarch, Archie Manning is arguably the greatest player in Ole Miss Rebels’ football history. Arch’s father Cooper and his uncle Eli Manning went to the University of Mississippi just like their superstar quarterbacking father.

The other Manning, and the most decorated of all the Mannings, Peyton Manning decided to play for the Tennessee Volunteers over suiting up for Ole Miss like his father. Arch, his father and both of his uncles played their high school ball at Isidore Newman in New Orleans, the home of the Manning Family, as Archie played the bulk of his professional career with the New Orleans Saints.

With Arch Manning only being a rising sophomore, he’s only on 247Sports’ radar like most high players in his graduating class. We still have three full high school football seasons before he can potentially early enroll in January 2023 at seemingly any Power 5 institution of his choice. I mean, his uncles were former No. 1 overall draft picks and his grandfather went No. 2.

With every game he quarterbacks, his legend will grow and so will the number of schools that will have offered him a scholarship. From early highlights of him at Isidore Newman, Manning has the dual-threat playmaking ability of his grandfather and the foot speed of his former wide receiver father Cooper. He can also sling it like Uncle Eli and Uncle Peyton did.

So while it’s still way-too-early to tell where the third generation of Manning quarterbacking greatness will pursue his college football career, why not look at some of the schools who just might end up signing him in the next few years? As they say, recruiting is a 24/7 job and we haven’t had a passer of this pedigree to enter the college ranks since uncle Eli did in 2000.
