Arch Manning recruiting predictions: These 7 schools hold an early lead
By John Buhler
Can Arch Manning be the next Joe Burrow at LSU?
There will be an absurd amount of pressure from most of his family to play his college ball at Ole Miss. Uncle Peyton will push the Rocky Top narrative as much as possible. Both would be great schools for Arch to consider, but what if he doesn’t want to leave his native Louisiana for college? Can he even do that? Oh, he can absolutely do that and play for Coach O.
Outside of any legacy attachment, the LSU Tigers have to be the likeliest team to land Manning’s commitment. His father Cooper said it was okay for his son to go play for LSU if that’s where he wants to go.
If we learned anything from last college football season is that Ed Orgeron is building a potential dynasty in Baton Rouge. The one-of-a-kind head football coach is about as good of a recruiter as they come. People say they love recruiting, but nobody loves it like Coach O does.
Like Uncle Peyton and Uncle Eli, Coach O had Joe Burrow go No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft. Well, with a national championship ring on his finger and a little bit easier of a drive to New Orleans than to Columbus, Coach O may be able to keep Arch in state and have him be an LSU Tiger.
