10 NFL sleepers who could make a surprise Super Bowl run
Seattle Seahawks
There is a lot of talk about the NFC West, and rightfully so, as the San Francisco 49ers went to the Super Bowl last year, the Los Angeles Rams the year before, and Arizona has a dynamic young quarterback in Kyler Murray. However, as is the case most seasons, people are sleeping on the Seattle Seahawks, and they shouldn’t be.
Remember, this team still has Russell Wilson as their quarterback, and you cannot jot down the top five signal-callers in the league without mentioning his name. Wideout DK Metcalf is going to be a star, and Chris Carson is the kind of back you can build your offense around, but for depth, they added Carlos Hyde and have a former first round pick in Rashaan Penny there still as well.
On defense, Seattle added linebacker Jordyn Brooks to a unit that already has Bobby Wagner, and L.J. Collier and Bruce Irvin should supply solid pass rush. Seattle’s secondary has star power in Shaquill Griffin, Quadre Diggs, and Tre Flowers, so anyone looking to write the Seahawks off this season, better think twice.
