Five things you may not know about Ohio State football star Justin Fields.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is one of the best college football players in the entire nation. In his first year at Ohio State, Fields passed for over 3,200 yards and 41 touchdowns and added 484 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. This incredible season had Fields as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and had the Buckeyes back in the College Football Playoff.

This season also has garnered the attention of NFL scouts for the 2021 Draft. Only a Junior, if he was to declare for the NFL Draft after this season, Fields would not only be one of the first quarterbacks taken off the board but also one of the first players taken.

Pretty impressive resume for someone in a new system after transferring to the Buckeyes from the Georgia Bulldogs in early January. But the transfer process wasn’t as easy. After announcing he would be transferring to Ohio State, Fields fought the NCAA on their rule of non-grad transfers having to sit out on year before they were eligible. In early February, Fields won his appeal and was granted immediate eligibility.

A lot going on for such a young talent, but it was a huge steal for Ohio State. Fields was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as the top dual-threat quarterback in the nation. Fields played for Harrison High School in Kennesaw, GA, and in just two years as the starter, passed for over 4,100 yards and 41 touchdowns while rushing for over 2,000 yards and 28 touchdowns.
