15. Las Vegas Raiders

Gone is that forgettable season in 2018 in which the team dealt away Khalil Mack and wound up with just 13 sacks. Fast forward to 2019 as the Raiders got to opposing quarterbacks 32 times – due in part to rookie Maxx Crosby. The club also finish eighth in the league vs. the run and Mike Mayock has now added linebacker Cory Littleton.

14. Kansas City Chiefs

Steve Spagnuolo’s unit took some time to find itself a year ago. But it was the Kansas City defense that helped spur the team’s season-ending nine-game winning streak (including playoffs). Safety Tyrann Mathieu was voted the team’s most valuable player but the defending champions need to get defensive tackle Chris Jones under contract

13. Dallas Cowboys

Jerry Jones has a new head coach in Mike McCarthy and new defensive coordinator in veteran Mike Nolan. This unit was a bit of a disappointment but injuries played a part. The club lost its share of veterans but the Cowboys also signed Gerald McCoy, Dontari Poe and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and are giving pass-rusher Aldon Smith a chance.
