The NFC South is the dominant force at the wide receiver position.

Six wide receivers were selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, illustrating the importance of the position in today’s game, which is centered largely around high-octane passing games.

As the San Francisco 49ers demonstrated with their run to Super Bowl LIV, teams do not necessarily need an elite wide receiver to make it all the way through the playoffs. However, it is undoubtedly a significant aid to teams with championship ambitions.

Given the direction of the game, it is not surprising that this is something of a golden age for wide receivers, with 25 ending last season with over 1,000 yards to their name.

Indeed, the modern NFL is a league blessed with a plethora of top-tier wideouts who have skill sets to be able to lay claim to the title of best wide receiver in the NFL.

Several of those pass-catchers reside in the NFC South, with the top three leaders in receiving yardage in 2019 all coming for a division that looks set to be among the best in the league in 2020.

But who heads into the new campaign as the premier wide receiver in today’s game? Here we rank the top 10 wide receivers in the NFL.
