November is where Utah football needs to be at its best.
Nov. 7 ā vs. Arizona Wildcats
2020 will be a big proving year for Kevin Sumlin and the Arizona Wildcats. While Sumlin and the Wildcats are simply looking for wins, wins against solid, sustainable programs like Utah will be coveted. Utah was able to handle Arizona with ease a season ago, and that should be the case again this coming season, but the Utes canāt be complacent here. Prediction: Utah wins 35-27.
Nov. 14 ā vs. Oregon State Beavers
Oregon State wasnāt exactly a team that the average college football fan would describe as successful during the 2019 season, but that doesnāt mean the Beavers werenāt a success story. OSU went 5-7 a season ago, and itās plausible that the Beavers continue improving, but Utah is a team that is already built for success. This will be the Utesā final home game of the season and itās coming against an outmatched opponent. Prediction: Utah wins 42-20.
Nov. 21 ā at Arizona State Sun Devils
Herm Edwards has certainly shocked plenty of doubters, myself included, in the amount of success heās had at Arizona State. Many didnāt see Edwards as someone who could succeed in college football. All heās done is go 15-11 at a place that is relatively hard to win games. Utah didnāt have much of an issue with Arizona State a season ago, but this game happening in Tempe in a year when it seems plausible that the Sun Devils take another step forward under Edwardsā leadership leads me to believe that Utah will come up short here. Prediction: Arizona State wins 24-16.
Nov. 28Ā ā at Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes are yet another Pac-12 team with a new head coach. Colorado is still being rebuilt and Utah, fresh off a frustrating loss to Arizona State, should win big here to finish out the regular season. Prediction: Utah wins 45-24.
