Philadelphia Eagles receiver Jalen Reagor is out here getting fans Big Hype for a season that may or may not happen.

If anyone is hoping there’s football this season more than Jalen Reagor, we might not have met that person yet. The Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver will start his career under the most unique circumstances any rookie ever has, which is only making him more anxious to get things started.

Philly fans, by extension, should be on that same level of excitement.

Reagor posted the first look of him in his Eagles uniform and it’s a perfect way for Eagles fans to ride into the holiday weekend on a hyped high.

Reagor was drafted in the first round by the Eagles with the hopes that he’ll be another weapon for Carson Wentz to have a breakout season with in Philly. We haven’t seen Wentz get back to the level he was on a few years ago when it looked like he was barrelling towards a possible MVP award.

That season ended with Wentz tearing his ACL, but it didn’t stop the Eagles from winning the Super Bowl with Nick Foles.

Wentz, despite having played tremendous that season, still seems like he has to prove he’s worthy of being the Eagles franchise quarterback. After Philly drafted Jalen Hurts to backup and perhaps one day challenge Wentz for the starting role, it appears now more than ever that we’re arriving at a make-or-break season for Wentz. Hurts won’t be usurping Wentz this year (barring an injury that historically is very possible), but the Eagles have invested heavily at quarterback the last few years — whether extending Wentz or drafting Hurts — which means Reagor is in line to benefit from what is sure to be a boon in productivity from someone at the position.

Pairing Reagor with DeSean Jackson and Zach Ertz could create a three-headed monster on offense that either makes Wentz into the quarterback he looked like a few years ago or give someone like Hurts the tools to breakout and arrive with fury at the NFL level.
