Pick Analysis. Los Angeles Angels. Hansel Robles. 2. player. 102. Scouting Report. P

If Los Angeles fails to make the expanded playoffs this year, don’t be surprised if they start selling. The Angels bullpen is a mishmash of minor leagues, veteran rehabilitation projects, and complete unknowns, with Robles emerging as one of the few consistent performers from last season. Robles was reborn as the Angels’ closer after a four-year stint with the Mets, posting a 2.48 ERA and saving 23 games.

The Brewers need to be confident that Angels Robles is indicative of the player that they’re trading for and that Mets Robles, who had a penchant for giving up clutch home runs, is dead and buried.

The Brewers are once again lacking tons of quality prospects, but there is certainly a lot for the Angels to desire in Milwaukee’s farm system. Former No. 5 overall pick Corey Ray and lefty pitcher Ethan Small both stand out as players talented enough for the Angels to give away their closer to a Milwaukee team still looking for a reliable eighth-inning option that will minimize the number of times Hader will have to record six outs.
