WWE has at least 30 positive COVID-19 tests at PC.

WWE continues to struggle throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic. Last week it was revealed that multiple individuals tested positive for the condition and news on Monday has pushed that number into the 30s.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet broke the news last week and further increased on that report on Monday. According to his report, “at least 30 people in total at the PC [Performance Center] who’ve tested positive for the virus in the last three weeks.” This list includes people that perform in the ring and individuals behind the scenes. For example, on-air personalities, Kayla Braxton, and Renee Young both took to social media to disclose information about their positive tests.

WWE issues mandate on wearing masks

On Friday, WWE announced a mask-wearing policy for individuals that are involved in tapings. All tapings are occurring at the Performance Center in Florida. The mandate comes with a fine of $500 for first-time offenses, followed by at $1,000 fine for second-time offenses. Those in the makeshift “crowd” for WWE tapings are also appearing on camera wearing masks, originally, they were not doing so.

The Performance Center has been the only location where the organization has been able to create content since the global pandemic shutdowns started in March. It was revealed the WWE had not done any actual testing until late June when all the positive results were found. Before then, the promotion was using screening tactics to manage a potential outbreak.
