Andy Reid celebrates Patrick Mahomes making bank in a Tommy Bahama shirt.

Fact: Andy Reid‘s Tommy Bahama best is way better than your Sunday best.

The head coach of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs wears Tommy Bahama Hawaiian shirts every opportunity he can. If the NFL allowed him the opportunity to wear a Chiefs Nike/Tommy Bahama cross-branded Hawaiian shirt on the sidelines, man alive, would that just be incredible. We would classify that as supreme sideline coaching excellence if we could be so lucky.

To celebrate his superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ big day, Reid told ESPN that he had to put on his best Tommy Bahama to honor the occasion. Some men where tuxedo t-shirts, others rock Canadian tuxedos. While most of us just rent tuxes, all Reid has to do is put on a Tommy Bahama and a pair of pants and he outdressed every single man in the room. It’s not fair.

Andy Reid has always dressed better than you and you should be ashamed.

While Reid may be a teetotaler because of his Mormon faith, don’t kid yourself. Big Red has always known how to party. When he won Punt, Pass, Kick as the biggest 12-year-old this side of Danny Almonte, we know Reid was ready to be a champion. He went onto play for the legendary LaVell Edwards at BYU along the offensive line before getting into coach. The rest is history.

Though many employees in the Chiefs organization popped some Dom Perignon on Monday, even though we all know Mahomes prefers to crush Coors Light on a float after winning championships, Reid one-upped everyone in Chiefs Kingdom by wearing his very best Tommy Bahama. Does he power rank his Tommy Bahama shirts? As a professional list maker, I sure hope he does.

So when the time comes to build Reid a statue out in front of Arrowhead Stadium, let it not be in a red windbreaker. Let’s hope the artist commissioned for this masterpiece appreciates the art of Tommy Bahama style as much as we and Coach Reid does. If he’s not rocking his best Tommy Bahama on said statue next to Mahomes’ statue, we hired the wrong sculptor for the project.

If Reid puts on a Tommy Bahama, then you know it’s 5 o’clock somewhere and it’s time to party.
