Justin Jefferson made Odell Beckham Jr. jealous with this crazy catch.

Justin Jefferson and Odell Beckham Jr. became great receivers playing for LSU football.

Jefferson is entering his rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings after winning a national championship with the LSU Tigers back in January. Though he never won a national title during his time in Baton Rouge, Beckham has become a bona fide superstar in this league because of his incredible pass-catching skills and his ability to take 10-yard slants to the house.

Jefferson was seen practicing on his own accord and came up with an amazing one-handed grab before falling into the rough outside of the practice field. It was such a great catch that Beckham chimed in on Twitter.

LSU receivers have nailed the art of the one-handed catch.

2020 is a big season for both former LSU standouts in the NFL. For Jefferson, he has the tall task of replacing Stefon Diggs as a top-tier receiver in the Vikings’ receiving corps. Adam Thielen is an excellent player, but Minnesota expects huge things out of their rookie Bayou Bengal. The Vikings are one of a handful of teams in the league this year that can realistically win the Super Bowl.

As for Beckham, he must live up to lofty standards in the Cleveland Browns‘ revamped offense. Former Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski is now running the show. While it’ll be more run than pass in Northeast Ohio, the Browns need Beckham to take a few more slant patterns spiraling off the right hand of quarterback Baker Mayfield to the house. Cleveland has to win big.

Though Jefferson doesn’t need to have himself a life-changing highlight-reel one-handed catch as Beckham had for the New York Giants back in the day, he does need to prove he was worth the high selection the Vikings used on him this past spring. There were a ton of great players on the 2019 LSU team and he must show that he wasn’t just a product of the Tigers’ system.

If you grab the attention of Beckham with a one-handed catch, you did something good alright.
