3 Red Sox who won’t be on the roster after 2020 season

There are a few reasons as to why Jackie Bradley Jr. won’t be on the Red Sox next season. Obviously, his contract is up. Bradley is currently making $11 million, which could be used much more efficiently moving forward. Another team will likely offer him a similar deal this offseason and the Red Sox will be unwilling to match it.
Another reason is the fact that the Red Sox just traded for Alex Verdugo, who has played most of his games so far in the MLB in centerfield. The Red Sox will want to do everything possible to make Verdugo succeed, as he was the main selling point in the Mookie Betts deal. For that reason, Verdugo will look to become the Red Sox center fielder of the future.
While he’s had some spectacular moments in Boston, including a stellar 2018 Postseason run, 2020 will likely be his final season with the Sox. They will miss his glove, but his inconsistent bat hasn’t been enough to earn him a long-term deal.
