5 NFL teams who should trade for Raheem Mostert

Raheem Mostert wants out of the San Francisco 49ers, and these five teams should be calling.
One of the breakout heroes on a San Francisco 49ers last year? Running back Raheem Mostert.
Mostert piled up 772 rushing yards during his emergence as the lead back on a team which ran the ball more than any other NFC squad. Not bad for a guy who started out as an undrafted free agent.
Unfortunately, his time in the Bay Area might be coming to a close, as Mostert has requested a trade from San Francisco.
Mostert might only have one year of sustained production, but averaging 5.6 yards per carry as the preferred backfield option on a team that was a few minutes away from winning the Super Bowl should help generate interest from any team that feels less than satisfied with their current running backs room.
Just 28 years old, signed until 2021, and not carrying with him a hefty price tag, Mostert might start 2020 with one of these five teams.

5. Chicago Bears
David Montgomery slipping to the third round had to make Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy completely ecstatic, but the former Iowa State star underwhelmed a tad during his first NFL season. Due in part to a bad offensive line and his own lack of great speed, Montgomery averaged just 3.7 yards per carry, and that number falls to 3.5 if you remove his season-long 55-yard scamper. It’s clear that they need someone in that RB room to take some of the responsibility off of his plate.
Tarik Cohen was not much of a factor in the running game, as he carried the rock just 64 times during the entire season. Behind Montgomery and Cohen are a few undrafted free agents in Ryan Nall and Artavis Pierce, and Mostert is clearly an upgrade on those two. A blend of Mostert’s explosiveness and Montgomery’s slipperiness could help the Bears have one of the league’s best running games in 2020 if their offensive line managed to improve.
