Packers running back Aaron Jones might be the most underrated player in the league

How in the world does this make sense?! Last season, Aaron Jones showcased to the world he’s one of the top running backs in the NFC, having a remarkable campaign for the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers.

Yet, a recent poll conducted by ESPN with NFL personnel shows that he’s not even one of the 10 best running backs set to hit the field this upcoming season? Again, this is not only senseless, but it’s a total slap in the face to the Green Bay superstar.

How is this possible? Yes, the list is loaded with stars. No one can argue about Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott, Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara and others making the list. But for Jones to be left out is absurd. How is Le’Veon Bell on this list and Jones isn’t?

Jones and the Packers figure to once again go on a deep run in the NFL postseason this winter. That’s always going to be the case when Rodgers is under center. Jones is one heck of an athlete too. If you need a reminder of his 2019 stats, they were absurd.

The speedster rushed for 1,084 yards and 16 touchdowns, while adding 474 receiving yards and three more scores. Whether it was on the ground or through the air, Jones was ready to provide opposing defensive coordinators with a living nightmare. Yet, he’s still not considered among the 10 best backs in the NFL? Insanity!

This season, Jones will surely be motivated to prove all of his doubters wrong starting with Week 1. Anyone who doesn’t think he’s one of the more promising offensive players in the NFL is surely mistaken. When the youngster gets the ball in his hands, Packers fans know big things can happen.
