Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill hospitalized with COVID-19.

Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and is currently hospitalized with the potentially life-threatening virus. The report of his diagnoses came Friday evening via AZCardinals.com.

The team believes that Bidwill contracted the illness while on the East Coast. Bidwill exhibited undisclosed symptoms and was advised to head to the hospital where he’s been since. His symptoms have reportedly stopped and he should be released from the hospital in the next few days. He is currently hospitalized in Rhode Island.

Ironically the team has done numerous good-deeds for the coronavirus cause including a $1 million donation to the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund. The team has also taken part in numerous blood drives.

He has not had any in-person contact with any Cardinals players, coaches or other staff.

The Cardinals are expected to face the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 18, 2020, for their preseason should the NFL season go as planned. Their first in-season game is set for Sept. 13 against the 49ers.

Next. Two wins and a loss in Springfield’s roster. dark
