Just because CeeDee Lamb is a Dallas Cowboy doesn’t mean he has to like the Longhorns

This past April, football fans were shocked to see top wide receiver prospect CeeDee Lamb drop all the way to the 17th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Of course, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was more than eager to add the explosive wideout, making him the newest member of the team. But just because he plays for the high-profile team in Texas doesn’t mean he has to like everything in the Lone Star State.

After sharing a photo of himself and Baltimore Ravens receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown during their days with the Oklahoma Sooners, a Twitter user told the newest NFL wideout to stop disrespecting the Texas Longhorns. Showing that the rivalry still lives, Lamb responded with one simple question:

“Who?”

Lamb will never cheer for his Big 12 rivals

As a member of the Sooners football team, it’s expected for them to hate the Longhorns. The Red River Showdown is among the most contentious games in all of college football, and Lamb has always found a way to bring pain to Texas.

In four games against the Longhorns, Lamb recorded 25 receptions for 487 yards and four touchdowns Most importantly, the star receiver has a 3-1 overall record against his Big XII rivals.

Even though we know where his allegiances lie when it comes to college football, Cowboys fans can take solace in the fact that a rival is now donning the historic No. 88 in a Dallas uniform for years to come.

If Lamb helps take the Cowboys offense to new heights which leads to a Super Bowl appearance in the near future, then Texas residents will gladly forgive him for beating the Longhorns over the past three years.
