Ben Roethlisberger is poised to have a brilliant 2020 season for the Steelers

After undergoing elbow surgery in 2019, Ben Roethlisberger felt like somewhat of a forgotten man for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. While he was always spotted on the sidelines rocking his remarkable beard, fans were forced to watch the season go on without him making his usual plays.

Now that he’s healthy and back throwing the ball around this offseason in preparation for the 2020 campaign, one thing has been made clear: Big Ben is ready to rock. And for Steelers fans counting down the days to Week 1, you better believe Roethlisberger is doing the same.

There’s little doubt the former Pro-Bowl signal caller will be ready to bounce back in a big way this fall and winter.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for more than 5,000 yards in his last full season

A two-time Super Bowl winner, Roethlisberger was only able to start two games last year before going down with his injury. In 2018, he put up special numbers, throwing for 5,219 yards and 34 touchdowns. Those are the kinds of numbers fantasy football owners dream about.

Despite now being 38, Roethlisberger has shown throughout his recovery that he’s not slowing down one bit. With James Conner emerging as a stud young running back, and JuJu Smith-Schuster cementing himself as one of the top receivers in the AFC, the weapons are there for Big Ben.

Perhaps more importantly, those two playmakers will take off some pressure from Roethlisberger. They’ll allow him to just go out and sling the pigskin around, something Steelers fans know he’s pretty damn good at.

Roethlisberger has his fair hare of haters, but there’s no doubt he’ll be ready to shut them all up starting in early September. With him fully healthy, Pittsburgh will be ready to get back to its elite form in 2020. Fans certainly can’t wait to see what Big Ben has in store for the AFC North.
