Luis Robert showed why he’s going to be a star for the Chicago White Sox.

The Chicago White Sox have plenty of hype entering the 2020 MLB season. They added the likes of Dallas Keuchel and Yasmani Grandal to join their young, high-upside squad. However, no player has more hype on that team than top prospect Luis Robert.

The 22-year-old Cuban outfielder has long been praised for his elite bat power. But Robert added to his legend during an exhibition game on Saturday. While facing pitcher Carlos Rodon, Robert swung at a pitch so hard that he fell to the ground. Yet, as Robert was falling, he managed to send the ball to the left-center field seats at Guaranteed Rate Field!

No need to worry, White Sox fans. Robert didn’t suffer an injury during that impressive display!

What can’t Luis Robert do?

Robert is slated to be Chicago’s starting center fielder entering the 2020 season. In fact, Robert will be fielding alongside fellow hyped prospect Eloy Jimenez and former Texas Ranger Nomar Mazara.

This past season, Robert’s insane play helped him rise up through the farm system. From Single-A Advanced to Triple-A in one full season! Through 122 games, the outfielder slashed .328/.376/.624 while posting 32 home runs, 165 hits, and 92 RBI.

While his first major league season will be a short one, expect Robert to make an immediate impact for the White Sox. Good luck to the opposing pitchers that have to face off against Robert in this 60-game campaign. You’re going to have a sore neck from looking at the star’s moonshots.

More. Eloy Jimenez will soon become a star for the White Sox. light
