SEC coaches want you to wear your mask.

As the coronavirus continues to spread across the southern United States to the point where the college football season might be delayed because of it, the SEC is doing everything they possibly can to convince fans to cover their face in order to play the 2020 season without either a truncated schedule or significant delay.

All 14 SEC head coaches united for a PSA that featured every single one of them sporting a mask, and the PSA encouraged fans to do the same after ending the clip by saying “We’re wearing them. Are you?”

Wearing a mask could save the 2020 season.

As enticing as it sounds to see Ed Orgeron and LSU defend their national title against fellow title contenders like Alabama, Georgia, and Florida with fans in the stands in some capacity, the state of the virus in this country might make that impossible unless preventative measures are taken.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey has expressed some doubts about the validity of trying to play the season as originally planned due to the virus. If the loss of SEC football isn’t enough to wake up those who refuse to wear a mask, nothing might.

If you truly love college football and want to see a proper season played, you need to break away from anything or anyone that tells you wearing a mask will not help or that the virus will not bring you significant harm. This virus is spiking like crazy, especially in the South.

Wearing a mask is something that every SEC fan can do to help prevent the spread. If Alabama and Auburn can put down the pitchforks and agree on this, that shows how there should be no debate as to the validity of wearing a mask.
