NBA teams are getting creative to maintain proper sanitation in the Orlando bubble.

The NBA bubble in Orlando is a fascinating experiment to see if a sports league can maintain a proper quarantined environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. So far there have been no major disasters, other than a few positive tests from transmissions before players arrived.

A major focus within the facilities is to properly sanitize and avoid too much cross-contamination. A video shared by the Oklahoma City Thunder showed how proper care is even going into doing the laundry.

NBA teams getting creative in the laundry room

Small things like how the laundry is done are likely not atop the minds of fans, or even the players themselves. But every single part of the process was thought out and the NBA came up with a great method.

It appears each player gets their own washing machine for their clothes and while this may not be the most energy-efficient method, it does mean potential germs won’t be mixing together. Converting batting cages into a laundry room is also a cool aspect of the bubble that may end up as a quick mention in one of the many documentaries about the 2020 season made in the future.

Those in charge of doing the laundry are taking precautions. Now it is up to the players to continue to follow the rules and not break quarantine to either order food or attempt to sneak in guests. Everyone working together and being smart can allow the season to finish accordingly and everyone can get paid.
