17. NFL Stadium Rankings: Gillette Stadium

The Patriots get points for the development of Patriot Place, an entertainment district built right around Gillette Stadium. The building has seen plenty of success as well with New England hoisting all of its Super Bowl banners after it opened in 2002. If you take out Patriot Place, however, the stadium itself isn’t more than a typical replacement-level building.

16. NFL Stadium Rankings: Lucas Oil Stadium

In terms of pure architecture, there are few buildings that can top Lucas Oil Stadium. The exterior of the stadium is absolutely breathtaking and it looks like it has always been a part of the city. The fact that Lucas Oil connects directly to the nearby convention center makes it a convenient host for the NFL’s scouting combine every year.

15. NFL Stadium Rankings: Raymond James Stadium

The host of this year’s Super Bowl, Raymond James Stadium is always a popular site for visiting fans. The Buccaneers have arguably the most creative feature of any stadium with a built-in pirate ship that fires cannons every time that Tampa Bay scores points or wins a game. The atmosphere inside of Raymond James is one of the most unique in the NFL.
