The 2020 NFL season isn’t going to go according to the script for any team. Read on to discover one bold prediction for each team in the AFC.

The presence of a global pandemic makes predicting the 2020 NFL regular season even more challenging than it might be in a normal year. Simply put, fans should be prepared to see a lot of surprising occurrences on a weekly basis.

This piece will offer one bold prediction for each team in the AFC. There’s an emphasis here on the word “bold.” Predicting Patrick Mahomes to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to another Super Bowl title does not meet the standard required. Predicting the Chiefs to go 16-0 would.

Without delay, let’s jump right in with one bold call for Josh Allen.

Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen will throw for 4,000 yards

The Bills understandably believe this is the year they can wrestle the division crown away from the Patriots. That’s why they made the big move to add Stefon Diggs this offseason.

His job will be to make big plays for a passing game that sorely lacked them in 2019. Josh Allen has a massive arm that should benefit from Diggs’ ability to stretch the field. If things break right, he could throw for a ton of yards.

Miami Dolphins: Defense will finish No. 1 against the pass

The Dolphins have put a ton of resources behind making their secondary an elite group. Both Xavien Howard and Byron Jone are making a ton of money. The team doubled down on their position of strength by spending a first round pick on Noah Igbinoghene.

The hope is that this group can dominate opposing wide receivers. For the investment to pay off, Miami can’t just be great against the pass. They must be elite. The group has the talent to finish No. 1 in the NFL against the pass.
