NFL power rankings: Which NFC quarterback is best?
3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
At 41 years old, it is essentially a miracle Brees is still the passer he was in 2019. While he missed five games due to thumb injury, Brees amassed a good season with nearly 3,000 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, only four interceptions and a career-high 116.3 passer rating.
This year should give him even greater opportunity to get better. The Saints used their first-round pick on center Cesar Ruiz, affording Brees more protection. New Orleans also made a splash signing in Emmanuel Sanders, stealing him from the 49ers. With tight end Jared Cook, receiver Michael Thomas and an excellent running back pair of Alvin Kamara, the Saints are ready for another Super Bowl run with Brees.
The offense is stacked, the Saints are still the best team in the NFC, and Brees is going to play lights-out looking for one more ring before he retires.
