The Jets finally have a trade partner for Jamal Adams.
After months of rumors, the New York Jets appear to have finally pulled the trigger on a Jamal Adams trade. The Jets are sending Adams, a former first-round pick out of LSU and an All-Pro at his position, to the Seattle Seahawks.
Adams, who is arguably the best player at his position, just completed his age-24 season. While he vented his frustration with the Jets, New York’s decision not to sign him to a long-term deal is risky, to say the least, and perhaps a black mark on Woody Johnson’s resume as owner.
The Seattle Seahawks have reportedly pulled off a blockbuster trade for Jamal Adams

Seattle, in exchange for Bradley McDougald (safety), 1st round pick in 2021, 3rd round pick in 2021, and 1st round pick in 2022
Deal is pending physicals
The Jets demands for Adams were always bound to be high, and by dishing out two first-round picks for him, the Seahawks were willing to meet that price. Not only are the Hawks throwing two firsts to New York, but also an established replacement in Bradley McDougald, and another third-round selection. For any other player, this would be considered a coup, but Adams is talented enough to make any return package look lopsided.
If we’ve learned anything about John Schneider, it’s that he’s not afraid to deal NFL Draft capital for legitimate, proven talent. Adams offers Seattle that and then some.
The Emerald City, which was once the home of Pro Bowler Earl Thomas, now has another stud safety patrolling its secondary.
