WNBA stars across the league are calling for the cops who killed Breonna Taylor to be arrested

Saturday is a big day for basketball fans, as the WNBA is set to officially start its 2020 season. However, before the women take the court and start firing off threes and delivering incredible passes, many stars have decided to get together and remind fans they’re more than just star hoopers.

Seattle Storm standout and WNBA champ Sue Bird shared a video on her Twitter account Saturday morning of players across the league sending a powerful message, saying the officers who killed Breonna Taylor must be held accountable for their actions and be arrested.

Countless athletes around the world want to see Breonna Taylor’s killers charged

As you can see in the tweet above, Bird ends the passionate video by powerfully stating, “Breonna Taylor’s life mattered.” The clip then provides information on how to get a hold of Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

The WNBA players surely aren’t the only athletes who have made their displeasure heard when it comes to Taylor’s case. Whether it be the NBA, NFL, MLB or other leagues across the world, folks are using their platforms to try and bring more attention to Taylor’s death.

In the Orlando bubble, LeBron James is among the many NBA playmakers who is also calling for Taylor’s killers to be charged.

While we can’t wait for the WNBA action to get started on Saturday, the players are here to remind everyone out there that they simply won’t ‘shut up and dribble’ and that they’ll always make sure their voices are being heard.
