Trevor Lawrence is a college football star, but not a TikTok video star.

Trevor Lawrence may star for the Clemson Tigers, but no, he didn’t star in that TikTok video.

With the flowing locks of Samson, Lawrence looks to lead the Clemson football team to a third straight College Football Playoff National Championship game. Clemson has won the ACC the last five years, making the College Football Playoff every season. The Tigers have played in four of the last five national titles, winning two of them over the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2016 and 2018.

Lawrence will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by someone like the Carolina Panthers or the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will become a millionaire on his football playing abilities but will be the greatest male shampoo salesman of all time. Pantene, L’Oreal, Head and Shoulders are all lining up for his services. Will Herbal Essences make a comeback?

So while the college football season is rapidly approaching, for one minute, many thought they saw Lawrence star in a TikTok video over the weekend. His doppelgänger did a great job, but it was pretty clear that wasn’t Lawrence’s fiancee Marissa Mowry. Lawrence responded on Twitter Monday to say it wasn’t him.

Trevor Lawrence wasn’t the viral TikTok sensation we were hoping for.

Even if it isn’t Lawrence, this immediately becomes the greatest Clemson football TikTok video of all time, surpassing his head coach Dabo Swinney, who thinks TikToks are about clocks while in quarantine. Though it will be an NCAA violation for celebrating after hitting pay dirt, Lawrence must accept this TikTok dance has his version of Aaron Rodgers’ “Discount Double Check”.

This TikTok video has gone viral, so it’s never, ever leaving the internet. Lawrence has at least a year or so to perfect the art of dance from his imposter. Had Lawrence been able to profit off his name, image and likeness, he would have cashed in on this opportunity. TikTok videos with some of the proceeds going to charity, I mean, who wouldn’t sign up for that?

Imposters are certainly out there, but no, Lawrence did not partake in that TikTok video experience.
