Draftkings has a large number of DFS contests available for this week’s Hero Open! Let’s take a look at this event from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections I wanted to clearly state that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my Draftkings player selections for the 2020 Hero Open!

Andy Sullivan $10,500

The 33 year old Englishman has seven top 23 finishes in his last 11 European Tour events, including a fourth place finish at the British Masters last week.

Sullivan also checks the box for me from a statistical perspective. Mr. Sullivan is currently ranked tenth in strokes gained tee to green (1.36), ninth in scrambling (62.88%), and 14th in three putt avoidance (0.38)  on the European Tour.

Pablo Larrazabal $9,000

The 37 year old Spaniard has played eight tournaments on the European Tour this season. In those eight events played, Larrazabal has four top 21 finishes, including a win at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in November.

Jeff Winther $8,500

Winther arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 14 finishes on the European Tour, including a third place result at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in March.

Matthieu Pavon $8,300

Pavon fired a final round 68 in last week’s British Masters en route to an eventual 26th place finish. He also finished 11th at the Saudi International in February.

Ashley Chesters $7,800

The Englishman finished 14th at last week’s British Masters. Chesters is currently ranked fourth in GIR (greens in regulation-74.90%), first in driving accuracy (72.75%), and 15th in scrambling (61.48%) on the European Tour.

Johannes Veerman $7,000

Veerman has five top 21 finishes this season, including a 10th place result at the Australian PGA Championship in December. The American is currently ranked second in strokes gained putting (1.56) and 19th in GIR (greens in regulation-72.01%) on the European Tour.

Clement Sordet $7,000

Sordet has four top 28 finishes on the European Tour this season, including a 10th place result at the Oman Open in February.
