The disgruntled pass rusher for the Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t report to training camp

Just two years ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars looked to be in prime position to have a Super Bowl contending team for years to come. And then, the team imploded. We’ve seen cornerback Jalen Ramsey orchestrate his way to the Los Angeles Rams, which gave Jacksonville two first-round picks. But there’s another disgruntled star who wants no part in wearing a Jaguars uniform.

On Thursday, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue didn’t report to Jaguars training camp, as he’s been pushing for a trade elsewhere for months after the team placed the franchise tag on him. Ngakoue can’t be punished or fined for being a no show, because he never signed his franchise tender.

There’s no choice but for the Jaguars front office to find a new home for Ngakoue. With that in mind, these three teams should make a move for the young edge rusher.

The Raiders are now in Las Vegas, and the team has been completely overhauled since Jon Gruden retired from the “Monday Night Football” broadcast booth to be their head coach. It’s a different team, to say the least.

Gruden opted to trade away stud pass rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears for first-round picks in the 2019 and 2020 NFL Drafts. So far, Gruden has yet to fill the void left by Mack. Maxx Crosby turned out to be one of the biggest steals in the 2019 draft, as he solidified his spot as the team’s number one edge rusher. Meanwhile, the Raiders used the fourth-overall pick on Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell, who didn’t live up to his selection in his rookie season.

It’s no secret that the Raiders are looking to add a big time defensive end. Reports indicated that they made an offer to Jadeveon Clowney earlier this month. Luckily for the Raiders, they won’t have to give up the draft package that the Seattle Seahawks surrendered for safety Jamal Adams. A Crosby-Ngakoue attack could create nightmares for the Raiders’ AFC West counterparts.
