Uniform No. 3: Penn State Nittany Lions

When talking about absolutely timeless uniforms, there is almost nothing as classic as Penn State’s blue and white.

Penn State’s uniform has been worn by the team for decades and it has almost never changed.

The Nittany Lions’ alternate uniform is simply their usual uniform with the players’ number put on the side of the helmet in blue and a blue stripe going down the pant legs. And the only other uniform that Penn State has is an all-white away uniform.

Although, there was a slight change made to the uniforms in 2012 when players’ last names were added to the back of the jersey, which hadn’t ever been done before in program history. This was put in place under head coach Bill O’Brien to honor all the players who had stuck with the program after the fallout from the Joe Paterno abuse scandal.

But at the beginning of the 2015 season, the names were removed and the Nittany Lions most likely won’t have any reason to alter their uniforms in the future.
