Is Rob Manfred seriously blaming the MLBPA for a potential shutdown?

Rob Manfred had the audacity to blame the MLBPA for a possible shutdown.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is essentially calling the kettle black, and no one is amused.
We’re only one week into the 60-game 2020 MLB season and we’re on the precipice of a league-wide shutdown. 20 percent of the league isn’t playing games on the final day in July, on account of two teams having outbreaks. The Miami Marlins made a complete mockery of the safety protocol standards and now the St. Louis Cardinals are dealing with a minor outbreak of their own.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, “Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred told MLB Players Association executive director Tony Clark on Friday that if the sport doesn’t do a better job of managing the coronavirus, it could shut down for the season.” While the MLBPA needs to get it together too, nobody wins here because nobody in baseball cares about anyone but themselves.
The other North American professional sports leagues (MLS, NBA, NHL, NWSL, WNBA) have all adopted the bubble concept, while baseball choose the direction it went in. The players didn’t want to spend up to five months living in Arizona to play a 60-game season and expanded postseason inside of a bubble. Though testing has been readily available, everybody in baseball looks stupid.
Rob Manfred, Tony Clark and the rest of baseball must take this seriously.
Baseball is a sport that naturally socially distances, yet this is the one professional sports league that can’t get out of its own way. When you team is on the road, be an adult and don’t go enjoy the nightlife of whatever visiting city you’re in has to offer. You get to play a child’s game for a living and make millions of dollars. 1/10th of the American public is jobless right now. Get a clue.

Baseball has convinced itself the American public is going to side with the Manfred and the owners or Clark and the players in all situations. Well, guess what? Nobody cares who is more right about something if you’re both wrong. No matter who is more at fault, you’re going to lose more fans than you did during the 1994 strike. Do you want the NHL and MLS to surpass you?
It’s time for baseball to be united, get back to being America’s pastime and stop being so obtuse.
