Aaron Judge launched another home run Sunday night.

The New York Yankees are off to a great 6-1 start in a bizarre 2020 MLB season. The team has been able to stay focused and has been helped by some absolute mashers in the lineup.

Aaron Judge is a focal point of the Yankees offense and it only took him until the fourth game of the season to hit his first home run. Then home run number two came a day later. The trend goes on and Judge launched his fifth in five days Sunday night against the Boston Red Sox. Matt Vasgersian’s excitement summed up the moment perfectly.

Aaron Judge is on fire

Judge’s first home run of the season came after a short layoff for the Yankees. They got back to action Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles and Judge hasn’t slowed down one bit with the Red Sox in town. Vasgersian’s call seemed genuine and it makes sense. Judge is putting on a hitting clinic and is proving he doesn’t need fans in the stands for motivation.

Judge burst onto the scene in 2017 when he launched 52 home runs in 155 games en route to winning American League Rookie of the Year honors and finishing second in AL MVP voting. Injuries then showed up and the outfielder hit a combined 54 home runs the past two seasons.

He was dealing with yet another injury this offseason and the extended time off worked to his benefit. Judge was able to heal and is now back looking like his 2017 self. That has Yankees fans and Vasgersian excited.

dark. Next. Giancarlo Stanton finally playing like an MVP

Now fans will want to see how long Judge can keep this streak going. Six games? Seven? More? There may be no limit to Judge’s potential when he is fully healthy and he is providing something fun to discuss during a rough start to the MLB season.
