Allen Iverson thinks LeBron is better than Jordan.

Most NBA players past and present have offered up their thoughts on who the greatest NBA player of all-time is, and Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson has been firmly in the Michael Jordan camp over the last few years, even calling him “Black Jesus” at one point. In one of the most stunning heel-turns we’ll see all year, Iverson has switched sides and is offering up his support for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

In a recent Instagram Live session, Iverson called James “the one”, which is a shocking statement coming from someone who played against Jordan repeatedly and has the utmost respect for him.

Allen Iverson is a big fan of Michael Jordan, but he seems to have flipped.

While the familiarity Iverson accrued with Jordan in their matchups at the beginning of Iverson’s career and the tail end of Jordan’s Bulls tenure might have helped AI feed into the notion that Jordan is the GOAT, the recent success of James has apparently weighed heavily on The Answer.

While LeBron hasn’t kept pace with Jordan in terms of his scoring, the fact that he is leading the league in assists while averaging 25.4 points per game at the age of 35 is nothing short of remarkable. The fact that he led Anthony Davis and the Lakers to possession of the No. 1 seed in the West has James in position for another Finals run.

If LeBron takes home ring No. 4 with team No. 3 in the Orlando bubble, he’ll get even more ammunition in the perennial GOAT war.
