Shaquille O’Neal made the most of his experience as a virtual fan.

The NBA is offering a unique experience for fans to watch games in the Orlando bubble, almost as though they were attending the games themselves. This virtual fan experience looks incredibly cheesy, with everyone’s faces and heads being disproportionate sizes, but it’s somewhat entertaining to see some of the famous faces tuning in.

From Lil Wayne to players’ family members to Chris Bosh, there have been plenty of recognizable faces among the NBA virtual fans being shown on the video boards at these seeding games during the league’s restart in Orlando.

That latest addition to that list is Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall-of-Famer and current NBA on TNT broadcaster Shaquille O’Neal, who tuned in for an Eastern Conference showdown between the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat on Thursday.

Suffice it to say, Shaq was having a blast with his virtual fan experience.

While the video stream here is pretty laggy, you can still make out Shaq throwing up a peace sign, smiling for the camera, getting up close and sticking out his tongue Shakira-style, and then leaning back to throw up another deuce.

There’s no audio, but you’ve gotta love the league — and its former players and affiliated stars — getting in on the virtual fan experience. It’s still incredibly cheesy and not perfect by any means, but that honestly might be part of the charm at this point.

If we can’t have real fans in the arena, this is the next-best thing. And as long as those virtual fans bring the energy and fun like Shaq, well, that’s all we can really ask for.

Next. Chris Paul is aging like fine wine for the Thunder. dark
