NCAA Rumors: 5 transfer destinations for Trey Lance
By Mike Luciano
Finally, mercifully, Florida State ended the Willie Taggart era after two consecutive seasons that had one of the most illustrious strugglings to beat FCS teams. Former Memphis coach Mike Norvell has been tasked with rebuilding the Seminoles, but an offensive head coach and quarterback guru likely won’t be able to do that with James Blackman at quarterback. If Norvell wants someone with the ability to produce for him in the same way Riley Ferguson and Brady White did, he needs to take a look at Lance.
While White is normally anchored to the pocket and Lance has the athleticism to move around in the pocket, it shouldn’t take long for a guy with as razor-sharp of a football mind of Norvell to devise ways to get Lance out in the open field as a runner. With Tamorrion Terry and plenty of premium recruits available at wide receiver, convincing Lance to join a historic program with a revamped, explosive offense in Tallahassee shouldn’t be too difficult.
