This Sunday, the PGA Tour presents the FanDuel/DFS community with the final round of the 2020 PGA Championship! Let’s take a look at the final round of this event from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I discuss my FanDuel player selections I wanted to clearly state that this article is specifically focused on the final round contest. The final round contest is vastly different with regard to scoring than the traditional contest offered by FanDuel for DFS golf.

If you are not familiar with the rules for the final round contest I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my player selections for the final round of the 2020 PGA Championship!

Brooks Koepka $11,400

If there is one thing I have learned watching golf the last few years it is this: never underestimate Brooks Koepka in a major championship. In my opinion, quite simply, Koepka is a big game hunter that comes to play when the lights are the brightest. Having stated that, I fully expect the four time major champion to play exceptionally well in the final round of the 2020 PGA Championship this Sunday.

As of this writing (Friday evening), upon completion of two rounds of play at the year’s first major, Koepka is currently tied for second place with a score of six under par.

Tommy Fleetwood $10,300

The 29 year old Englishman is currently ranked second in final round scoring average (67.67) on the PGA Tour.  Fleetwood fired a final round 65 at last week’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational at TPC Southwind.

After two rounds of competitive play at the 2020 PGA Championship, Fleetwood is currently tied for second place with a score of six under par.

Jason Day $9,900

Upon completion of two rounds of play at the 2020 PGA Championship, the Australian is currently tied for second place with a score of six under par. In relation to the PGA Championship field, after two completed rounds, Day is currently ranked first in strokes gained approach and first in strokes gained ball striking.

Daniel Berger $9,700

The 27 year old American has six top nine finishes in his last seven events on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last week.

Berger is currently ranked fourth in final round scoring average (67.91) on the PGA Tour.

Brendon Todd $8,600

Todd has eight top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour this season, including two wins (Mayakoba Golf Classic, Bermuda Championship).

After two rounds of play at the 2020 PGA Championship, Todd is currently tied for eighth with a score of five under par. It should also be noted, that in relation to the PGA Championship field, after two completed rounds, Todd is currently ranked 24th in strokes gained around the green and third in strokes gained putting.

Brendan Steele $7,900

The American has three top six finishes on the season, including a sixth place result at the Travelers Championship in June. Steele currently ranks 16th in par four scoring average (3.97) and ninth in proximity to the hole on the PGA Tour.
