Benches clear as Ramón Laureano is hit by a pitch and then charges Astros dugout.

Absolute pandemonium unfolded on Sunday after Oakland Athletics’ Ramón Laureano was hit by a pitch thrown from the hand of Humberto Castellanos. Laureano, clearly upset by the slight points his finger at Castellanos who begins to walk forward. Astros catcher comes between the two to keep them apart and it looks as though things might be calming as he walks to his base.

Laureano then turns towards the Astros dugout says something to someone assumed to be hitting coach Alex Cintron and then sprits towards the dugout. From there he is quickly taken to the ground and it’s a battle between teams.

Watch the whole thing right here.

Ramón Laureano ended up being ejected from the game

Laureano was ejected from the game and Chad Pinder stepped into his spot on first.

One could imagine there was a lot of tension stemming not just from the strike on the back but for the many years the Astros were caught cheating. The Astros have been targeted in nearly every game this season, the first one back since the cheating scandal came out.

The irony isn’t lost here that the Houston Astros are on the other end of an incident like this … for once.

Next. Karma just keeps coming for the Houston Astros. dark
